In Autumn 2025, Sun It Rises transformed Liberty Place with a meditative exhibition that explored nature’s enduring ability to soothe, inspire, and ground us.
Curated and produced by aMBUSH Gallery (an initiative of W+D Management), the exhibition featured the works of four contemporary artists—Victor Shergill, Nastia Gladushchenko, Michael Black, and Micke Lindebergh—each offering a personal response to the emotional and aesthetic impact of the natural world.
Presented through painting and illustration, the works were installed throughout the Liberty Place precinct, creating moments of stillness and reflection within the public space. The artists explored themes of memory, movement, and light—capturing landscapes both real and imagined—and invited visitors to pause, look closely, and reconnect with the quiet beauty of their surroundings.
Running from 17 March to 3 May, Sun It Rises was a gentle yet powerful reminder of nature’s ability to shape our perspective, evoke emotion, and inspire creativity in everyday life.
