A carefully curated group of independent artists and designers were invited to showcase their big ideas in the world of small children at the Open Up Markets at Darling Quarter during the April school holidays.
Open Up featured the Kids’ Urban Design Markets, with twelve handpicked Australian kids’ design brands who presented their unique offerings in kids’ apparel, accessories, art, decorative homewares and more.
Wiltshire + Dimas have created and produced this unique pop-up marketplace – consisting of six eye-catching modified shipping containers – specifically to nurture innovative local makers and encourage these young entrepreneurs to find their voice and a consumer audience.
Open Up took place over two weekends during April with entry free to the general public.
Featured in the first week were: Billie The Kid, Chalked Threads, Mini Wild Child, Toucan, Caring Canary and Nacido. The second week highlighted: Mulga, Miss Lilly, Lamina, HG Murdoch, AB Streetwear and The Little Crowd.
