aMBUSH Gallery Pop-Up

Project Info

In March 2015, Wiltshire + Dimas management launched the aMBUSH Gallery pop-up at Sydney’s premier property Central Park Mall in the new Central Park precinct in Chippendale.

aMBUSH Gallery – Sydney’s award-winning authority on contemporary urban art and a vital platform for Australian artists and brainchild of Wiltshire + Dimas – opened a new pop-up event, project and gallery space in Chippendale’s celebrated building, Central Park Sydney.

The launch of the gallery’s new home coincided with aMBUSH’s eighth anniversary and heralded a new chapter in its vibrant and inspiring lifespan. Having curated, produced and presented 101 on-site exhibitions and events at its original home in Waterloo and 33 public art activations throughout Australia, and spearheaded some artistic and cultural firsts for the country, aMBUSH Gallery’ move to Central Park could not be better timed to facilitate this exciting time of growth.

Throughout 2015 and 2016, aMBUSH Gallery will present a full and dynamic program of contemporary urban art programming and activations from its new location. These include creative contributions to major city festivals like Vivid Sydney, and will be used to platform both local and international artistic prowess.

Comprising two expansive spaces that run parallel to one another along the entire length of the building’s third floor, aMBUSH Gallery pop-up consists of three large galleries, a large capacity events venue, a conference space used to host aMBUSH Gallery’s collaborative projects, artist studios, a digital arts viewing room and a publicly accessible workspace with lounges, a hot desk and free Wifi.
