Lane Four is a semi-permanent public art space inside a lane-way at The Galeries in Sydney, developed and activated by Wiltshire + Dimas.
Wiltshire + Dimas was approached by the owners of The Galeries, iPoh, to develop and activate a public lane-way inside the shopping centre as a public art space. The challenge to this project was the main wall was heritage listed.
We overcame this challenge by designing and installing an exhibition infrastructure that did not interfere with the heritage wall.
Lane Four was then launched and Wiltshire + Dimas curated and produced a series of seasonal activations from 2012 to 2014 via our aMBUSH Gallery brand.
In 2012, both aMBUSH Gallery and The Galeries were the recipients of the SME Award for NSW and ACT at the AbaF Awards (Australian Business Arts Foundation that is now the Creative Partnerships Australian Awards). Lane Four also received a national nomination at the same awards event.
