Environmental art, aerosol painting and illustration were just some of the art disciplines explored at Charlstown Square Kids’ Urban Art Workshops these Easter school holidays.
Over 2700 kids created artworks side-by-side with some of the biggest names in Australian urban and eco art including Jane Gillings, Noni Cragg, Frances Johnston and Mitch Berrigan. The free workshops catered to kids aged 5-16 years, and were held daily for 11 days across the Easter school holidays.
Curated and produced by Wiltshire + Dimas’ aMBUSH Gallery and presented with the GPT Group’s Charlstown Square in Newcastle NSW, these workshops provided children with a unique insight into the world of artists and gave them a chance to discover their own contemporary artistic interests, possibilities and talents.
